Privacy policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
MKE Group Inc. ("we") is a Canadian company based in Combermere, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers our website and every product we run, including:
- Scrub Club, a marketplace that connects people who need property work done with people who do it (scrubclub.mkegroup.ca and the Scrub Club iPhone app).
- Fire Ground Board, a crew accountability tool for fire departments (fire.mkegroup.ca and the Fire Ground iPhone app).
A product can have its own privacy page with more detail, like the Fire Ground Board privacy page. Where a product page says more than this one, the product page applies.
What we collect
For every product
- Account details: your name, email address, and phone number if you give it.
- What you put in: the content you add to a product, described below.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We see what was paid and when, but never your full card or bank numbers.
- Device and usage: basic technical logs (like your device type and IP address) that our hosting providers keep to run and secure the service, and a push token if you allow notifications.
- Messages to us: anything you send to hello@mkegroup.ca.
Scrub Club
- Jobs you post or take on: the work, the address where it happens, dates, prices, photos and messages about the job.
- For people who do the work: payout details, collected and verified by Stripe. Stripe may ask for identity information to pay you. We don't store it.
- Reports you make about a job, such as a no-show.
Fire Ground Board
- Your department's roster: name, rank, crew, phone, radio number, certifications and training records.
- Incidents: names, addresses, crew status, apparatus, chat and the activity log.
- Your location, only when you choose to share it on an incident. It is deleted when the incident closes.
- Optional emergency contact and medical details. Only you and your department's officers can see these.
How we use it
- To run each product: show your jobs or incidents to the right people, send sign-in codes, alerts and receipts, and take payments.
- To keep things safe: prevent fraud and abuse, and investigate problems.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To meet legal duties, like keeping business and tax records.
We collect and use your information with your consent, which you give by using a product. You can withdraw consent by deleting your account, though some records may need to be kept for legal reasons.
Who sees it
- Other people in the same product, only as needed. On Scrub Club, the other person on a job sees the details they need to do it. On Fire Ground Board, only members of your own department see your department's records.
- Service providers who run parts of our products for us, under contract:
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage and sign-in | Canada or the United States, by product |
| Stripe | Payments, payouts and invoices | Canada and the United States |
| OneSignal | Push notifications | United States |
| Google Workspace | Canada and the United States | |
| GitHub, Netlify | Website hosting | United States |
| Apple | App distribution and notification delivery | United States |
| Map providers | Map images (they see your IP address) | Various |
- The law: if we are legally required to share information, or need to protect someone's safety.
- A buyer: if a product or our company is sold, its information goes with it, under this policy.
We never sell personal information.
Where it's stored and how long
Some providers store or process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be accessed under local law. Information is encrypted in transit.
We keep information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your login and profile. We keep payment and tax records as long as Canadian law requires (usually six years). Fire departments own their department records and can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices and rights
- See and fix your details in each app.
- Delete your account inside each app (look in your profile or Me screen).
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@mkegroup.ca. We answer within 30 days.
If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our products are not meant for children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
We limit who can see information inside each product, use encrypted connections, and give staff and contractors access only when needed. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts you at real risk of significant harm, we'll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
