Terms of service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MKE Group Inc. ("we"), a Canadian corporation at 1050 Mill Street, Combermere, Ontario K0J 1B0. They apply to our website and every product we run, including Scrub Club and Fire Ground Board. Some products have extra terms, like the Fire Ground Board terms. If a product's terms and these terms disagree, the product's terms apply.
By creating an account or using a product, you agree to these terms. If you use a product for an organization, like a fire department or a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep access to your account and email private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at hello@mkegroup.ca if you think someone else is using it.
Using our products fairly
Don't use our products to break the law, harass or harm anyone, post anything false or misleading, get around payments or fees, access other people's information, or interfere with how a product works. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's terms. Prices are in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes unless shown otherwise.
Scrub Club
- Scrub Club is a marketplace. We connect people who post jobs with people who do them. We are not a party to the agreement between them and we don't perform the work.
- People who do the work are independent. They are not our employees or agents. Each person is responsible for the quality, safety and legality of the work, and for any licences, insurance and taxes that apply to them.
- A service fee is added to jobs, as shown before you pay. Payment may be held and released when a job is complete, as described in the app.
Fire Ground Board
- Departments get a free trial, then pay per member who uses the app, monthly or yearly. Plans renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into our products. You let us store, copy and display it only as needed to run the product for you and the people you share it with. Fire departments own their department records.
Our products
We own our products, names and logos. You can use our products as intended but can't copy, resell or reverse engineer them. We may change, add or remove features. If we shut down a paid product, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to export your information.
Safety
Our products help with real-world work, but they depend on phones, signal and the internet, which can fail. Use your own judgment and follow the law and safety rules that apply to you. Fire Ground Board in particular supports a department's accountability system and does not replace it.
Disclaimers and liability
Our products are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, or the actions of other users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
You agree to cover our reasonable losses if they result from your breaking these terms or the law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in each app at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Sections that should keep applying after an account ends, like payments owed, ownership and liability, still apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. If we can't, disputes go to the courts of Ontario.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant. Continuing to use a product after a change means you accept it.
